Planning of my Film Poster

This is a tester of me learning how to construct the image for my front cover. I used Photoshop to create this. I wanted to be able to create a silhouette effect and add an imagine in the background.

Mother Dearest - Story Boards

Above are story boards of our Into and scenes 1-3. Drawn are images of what each scene will look like and beneath we have explained the different cinematography and mise en scene that we will included in these scenes for our film trailer.

Production Logo

Above, is a practice attempt of my group and I creating our Production Logo. We used Photoshop to construct our logo together. Our Production Logo is made up of each members first name initials and stands for "SKream ProDuctions." We decided to position the letters in the shape of a camera and have an outline around it to make the camera shape more clear.

  

Sketch for my Film Poster

For my Film Poster I took inspiration from the Looper film poster. I want the title of my film to be placed at the top of the poster so that it can be one of the first things that my audience notices, this means I will have to make it eye catching. Using a bright colour and bold font to make it stand out. I want to use a head short but in a silhouette form of the 2 girls (Only the outline of their heads) facing in the opposite direction, with the mother inside the silhouette. I want the mother to be in a postion that shows that she is upset about something, which will make the audience question what exactly could the film be about. This will attract my target audience, making them want to view the film.

Film Poster Inspiration

The Film Posters I have chosen all have in common a silhouettes theme and I think that this theme will represent my Supernatural genre best.

Location Shots

One of our locations for our Trailer will be an Orphanage, where the sisters "live" (They died in a fire at the Orphanage when they were young. Their souls still linger around.) We want our Orphanage to look quite retro/ Vintage to show that it has been around for a while but we also want it to look welcoming as it needs to be appealing to our couple, so that they want to go inside and take a look.

Another Location will be the Church, where the couple will go and visit a Priest to tell them about the strange incidents they have been experiencing in their home. We went for a traditional looking Church with a graveyard next to it, as it has a more creepier feel to it and this matches our genre best - Supernatural Horror.

Majority of the locations in our Trailer will be filmed in a house. Location 1) Kitchen Scene - where the mother stands by the sink cleaning up and looks outside the window only to see the 2 girls playing in her backyard. And in the next shot they have mysteriously disappeared. Location 2) The Dinning Room Scene - The mother setting up the table for dinner for her and her husband but also lays out 2 extra plates for the girls. Her husband comes home and is confused about her strange behaviour. 3) The Bathroom scene/Dream scene -  The husband goes to take a shower where he is met by the 2 girls, they kill him and leave him dead in the bath. 4) Bedroom Scene -The mother wakes up from a bad dream and turns over to see the 2 girls standing by her bedside and screams.
